Last Sunday we started our Christmas series All I Want for Christmas. Dwight spoke about the first thing that we want (need): Wonderful Counselor. He talked about how what the really means is an "extraordinary strategist."For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
This Sunday, I get to share about the next gift Isaiah told us Jesus would be to us: Mighty God. Translated that means: Savior. Because what we need is someone to rescue us.
I'm really looking forward to this Sunday. I'm going to share about how each of us needs a Savior. And His name is Christ the Lord. This Sunday represents an incredible opportunity to invite someone to church. I invited a couple who was at Natalie's basketball game. And guess what? They said yes. They told me they'll be there.
The emphasis is on salvation this Sunday. Don't miss it. And don't miss the opportunity to bring someone with you who needs to hear a message of hope and life-change.
Check out this quote from Rick Warren (I'll be sharing this quote on Sunday):
You don't need a Savior because you might die tonight. You need a Savior because you have to live tomorrow.
See you Sunday.
