If you were here Sunday (or watching live online like my brother-in-law and my mom), then you know I brought a friend with me to church--a goldfish named Pat.
Many of you have asked questions about Pat since Sunday, so I thought I'd just give an update here on my blog.
I took Pat home with me after church on Sunday. That afternoon, my kids poured Pat into our fish pond in the back yard. We've added other fish like Pat to our pond from time to time...and they've always done well there.
As I walked by the pond on my way to work today, I noticed that the pond was unusually clear. The sun was shining, and the fish were are very clearly visible (even the black ones that are sometimes hard to see). I looked for Pat. No sign of him/her. I don't know if Pat was just hiding but...I'm worried.
Maybe the other fish didn't take much of a liking to Pat. Maybe it's like going to prison and all the other fish started chanting, "fresh fish, fresh fish..."
Anyway, I'll try to keep you updated on Pat. Is he hiding? Or was all that talk about heaven on Sunday mere foreshadowing for one Pat the Fish?

FYI, Tuesday night, I made a run to Wal Mart and there was this guy there with a gold fish in a bowl. It caught my attention because when you buy one there, they give it to you in a bag. This looked like the man brought the goldfish in with him!
I followed them a little bit because the dude looked familiar to me, buck-toothed and taped glasses, anyway he kept saying over and over to the fish, "it's ok, little fishy, I just want to be a blessing. I'll save you and give you a real home where you can be a blessing to everyone just like I am".
He just kept saying that over and over while he filled his buggy with things he told this fish it needed like dog supplies and cat supplies and all sorts of small animal stuff. You might want to check it out.
Jane Ann, I think I know that guy...
