Sunday was a continuation of the He’s STILL* Got the Whole World in His Hands series. Message title: He’s STILL* Our Source (part 3 in the series). Here are the scuds:
- God is an expert at leading his people through times of uncertainty. And you and I have nothing to worry about.
- How do you remain calm and gentle in uncertain times? By rejoicing in the Lord.
- The world’s version of peace comes only when our jobs are secure and our bank accounts are good. The peace Jesus gives is still there even when our world is turned upside down.
- Guilt is the number one destroyer of peace of mind.
- There is absolutely no reason at all for anyone to leave this room today and still have a guilty conscience.
- Some of us are afraid to ask God for help.
- You have the choice of either focusing on your problems or focusing on your God.
- You and I were not made to live with a fearful spirit.
- Grumpy, cantankerous people are not focused on God. They’re focused on themselves and their problems.
- God’s purpose is bigger than any problem I face.
- Your Heavenly Father already knows your needs even before you ask.
I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:12-13
