i’d love to do a wedding like this one…

This weekend I did two weddings at NewPointe. Both went very well and I was honored to be a part of them. I’m still blown away that I actually get to “tie the knot” for couples. It’s always neat to be a part of such an important event in people’s lives.

And I LOVE it when people do things to make their weddings memorable. Isn’t it true that for the most part, all weddings pretty much look alike? That’s why when I see something creative and bold like this, I get so excited:

Chances are you’ve already seen this video on YouTube (it’s up to almost 7 million views). But in case you haven’t, I felt it was worth of including on my blog because it’s just so fun. And isn’t that what weddings should be?

I love that this couple, along with their wedding party, took a risk and broke the mold for wedding entrances. Very cool. Their risk has paid off. Their wedding is now one of the most famous weddings in America. AND…they even got to go to New York and re-create their entrance dance on the Today Show. How awesome is that? Here’s the video of that…

As Jenny and I watched the video we said to each other, “Wish we’d have been courageous enough to try something like that at our wedding.” Naomi watched it and said, “I’m totally doing that at my wedding.” And I hope she does. :)

I predict that many weddings will now have fun, untraditional entrances because this couple has broken the mold. Can’t wait till I get to officiate my first one like that.
