The “Connect the Dots (making sense of the Bible)” series continued last Sunday with part three of five: Obedience and Blessing. Here are some of the scuds Dwight fired:
- Obedience is not beyond your reach.
- Every time you and I sin, it’s because we’ve chosen to.
- The key to living a full life is obedience.
- Sin will always take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you’re willing to pay.
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33 NLT
- When you and I choose to disobey God, we always lose.
- When we choose to trust God’s Word and His character, we always win.
- People who obey God have an unashamed boldness about them—they are not afraid to stand up for what’s right.
- God protects those who walk in obedience.
- You do not have to compromise in order to reach your goals.
- Sin brings doubt. Obedience brings confidence.
- When you walk in obedience with God, you will be tested.
- When you pass that test, you will experience immeasurable blessing.
